“Macro” is the Photo Theme for June

Macro – Macro photography is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. It allows to view up close details, which we don’t normally get to see with the naked eye.  Macro photography has definitely become a very broad genre of the art form, thanks to the ability of today’s cameras.  Nowadays, smartphones, point-and-shoot, mirrorless, and DSLRs usually have some sort of built-in macro mode that helps users capture significantly closer shots of an object from an observable distance. Of course this cannot be considered true macro, because to achieve that you will need a dedicated macro lens, but you will still be able to achieve some very closeup images.

Create photographs that fit the theme and upload up to five of them to the club’s Monthly Photo Themes flickr group.  Post them during June, not before or after, that way they’ll appear together with other club member’s images.
