“Old Dilapidated Buildings” is the Photo Theme for September
Old Dilapidated Buildings – Old dilapidated buildings can be found almost anywhere. The one pictured here is an old Air Force hanger in Tonopah, Nevada. Abandoned and decaying buildings can be a great source of images that portray broken emotional connections and also the power of time. However, there is a certain level of preparation and precautionary measures to take into consideration. Before starting out with photographing abandoned building, please be cautioned that urban exploration can be dangerous. Be sure to exercise caution and only enter at your own risk. Seek out natural light. Abandoned and dilapidated buildings rarely have working artificial light sources.
Create photographs that fit the theme and upload up to five of them to the club’s Monthly Photo Themes Flickr group. Please tag them with the keyword abstract. Post them during September, not before or after. That way they’ll appear together with other club member’s images.
