“Books” is the Photo Theme for March
Books – We all like to take time out and submerge ourselves in a good book. So this month show your appreciation to your favorite reads by photographing books. Here are some tips:
- Avoid artificial light it turns the book pages yellow.
- Take photos from as many different angles as possible.
- Color coordinate your books. Using a color harmony will make them look better.
- Think about the background so the books “pop” and don’t get lost.
- Vintage books may look better in monochrome or sepia tone.
- Try photographing a theme like bedtime reading or reading over a glass of wine.
Create photographs that fit the theme and upload up to five of them to the club’s Monthly Photo Themes flickr group. Post them during March, not before or after, that way they’ll appear together with other club member’s images.
