“Architecture” is the Photo Theme For November
Architecture – Architecture photography has a long history. In fact, the world’s oldest surviving photo, View from the Window at Le Gras, is an example of architectural photography—and it was taken in the 1820s! The medium has remained popular for all these years, and that’s no surprise when you consider the significance of architecture. Buildings do much more than provide us with shelter. They are also works of art and long-lasting cultural symbols.
Architecture photography (also referred to as building photography or structure photography) generally means photography that focuses on buildings. It can include shooting building exteriors and interiors, as well as bridges, other structures, and cityscapes.
Choose your location, get to know your subject by walking around it and possibly through it, shoot at various times of the day and weather conditions, select unique perspectives, include people, and think about HDR for some unusual representations.
Create photographs that fit the theme and upload up to five of them to the club’s Monthly Photo Themes flickr group. Post them during November, not before or after, that way they’ll appear together with other club member’s images.
