“Three of Something” is the Photo Theme For January
Three of Something – In photography, the number three pops up quite frequently. It is evident in many of the images we make or how we make them. The Rule of Thirds; Foreground, Midground, and Background; Three Points of Interest; Shadows, Midtones, and Highlights; Shutter Speed, f-stop, and ISO; Triangles; Tripod; etc.
In photo composition three is a magic number. Three subjects can form a triangle, a vanishing point, or a pattern. Three can be a powerful number for photography, so be on the lookout for scenes involving three subjects. When three subjects come together and interact, interesting compositions can be the result
Create photographs that fit the theme and upload up to five of them to the club’s Monthly Photo Themes flickr group. Post them during JANUARY, not before or after, that way they’ll appear together with other club member’s images.
