Saturday, December 23

For a few weeks each year around the time of the Winter Solstice (Thursday, December 21), the sunset (4:56PM) casts an ethereal glow through Keyhole Arch on Big Sur’s Pfeiffer State Beach that many photographers seek to capture. Join us as participants shoot this annual event. THERE IS A DAY USE FEE OF $10/CAR. On the way back participants can stop at at the famous Bixby Bridge for long exposures and car light trails. Afterwards there will be a “nohost” group dinner in Carmel at a place and time to be determined for those who wish to participate.

Carpools are available and will depart from the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Street at 1:30 PM, returning later in the evening. To signup, request to be a carpool driver or passenger, or need additional information, please contact Mark Grzan – include your cell phone number.

After the shootout club members can upload their images to the club’s Shootout flickr® group pool. Title your images “PFEIFFERSB” and tag or keyword them with the date “23DEC17“. If you are a club member but not a member of flickr® learn how to join here.

Take only pictures, leave nothing behind!
