Date: December 23, 2014 | Time: 6:00PM to 9:00PM

There is nothing like photographing the San Francisco City Lights as experienced from Treasure Island. At this time of the year you have the extra benefit of the added holiday lights on the buildings along the Embarcadero. Come join other club members and guests Tuesday evening, December 23rd to photograph the beauty that is San Francisco at holiday time.

In addition to photographing the city from Treasure Island we will photograph the iconic scene of the pylons in front of the Bay Bridge, the Ferry Building, the Hawaiian Airlines Ice Skating Rink, and the fabulous holiday display in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel. We will also be having dinner at one of the many food establishments near or in the Ferry Building.

A tripod, cable/remote release, and telephoto lenses are highly recommended. For the interior of the Hyatt Regency you will need a wide-angle lens. Carpools should leave Morgan Hill no later than 3:45PM. There could be a lot of traffic. For those traveling separately we will meet in the parking area on Treasure Island at 6:00PM [across from Treasure Island Marina along Treasure Island Road]. Expect to return to Morgan Hill at approximately 10:15PM.

Contact George Ziegler to RSVP, arrange carpools, or obtain additional information.

After the shootout club members can upload their best images to the club’s Shootout flickr® group pool. Title your images “SFO Holiday 2014” and tag or keyword them with the date “23DEC14“. If you are a club member but not a member of flickr® learn how to join here.
